Creating positive, life-changing moments for innocent children who have been victims of neglect, abuse, and abandonment.
What are the church and faith requirements for Royal Family KIDS participation?
Children of all faiths or no faith are welcome at Royal Family KIDS . We value helping all kids to change the trajectory of their lives.
Royal Family KIDS actively works with an ecumenical and multi-denominational camp and mentoring club sponsoring church network that varies widely in traditions or denomination but is unified in affirming standard Christian faith as outlined in the RFK Faith Statement.
Volunteers are not required to be members of the sponsoring church. For reasons of accountability, the volunteer directors must be members of the sponsoring church, and be accountable to the sponsoring pastoral team and RFK, Inc.
RFK FAITH STATEMENT:
We affirm faith in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the trustworthiness and authority of the Bible, and the value and dignity of all people, as well as our human alienation from God by sin, and our need for salvation and grace through Christ.
Royal Family KIDS of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sandy UT
There are many ways YOU can become involved with Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring Club. Our Camp is a fellowship of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with volunteers from many area churches. A successful program for the children depends on multiple individuals filling various volunteer positions for the Camp week, monthly Club meetings, school year Mentoring and available Board opportunities.
We believe that our partnerships with other community members are made in good-faith. Although, active volunteers must pass a background check to ensure the safety of our kids.
We trust that God has given everyone associated with Royal Family KIDS of GSLC with a heart-driven desire to help under privileged children from our local foster care. We believe in being transparent and loyal to the path our Lord has lay before us to help foster children have moments that are loving and character forming.
